Specification
Materials: Solid oak sign(s) with optional softwood or oak central post.
Sign Size: Sign 550mm L x 120mm H x 25mm thick, text approx. 40mm high.
Post Size: 100mm x 100mm (4” X 4”) x 2.4m (~8ft) long (upgrade available upto 3m ~10ft).
 
This listing is for a single sign post with multiple pointing ‘fingers’ (upto 7 [as standard]).

Single sided sign text is included in listing price with each sign finger morticed into the post providing a strong lasting joint.  
 
Please utilise the 'Comments' field (in conjunction with the pictures above) to clarify your requirement (e.g. “Sign 1 at Zero degrees ‘Farm House’, Sign 2 at 135 degrees ‘The Barn’ ”).  Upon receipt of your order we will email through a preview of your sign for approval, at this stage design tweaks can be made free of charge.  Please respond to this approval as soon as possible to ensure prompt sign manufacture and delivery.
 
When selecting post size please remember provision for post to be concreted into the ground (e.g. 2ft (600mm) underground).  3m posts recommended for assemblies with 3 signs or more (depending on directions).
 
Listing price incorporates provision for delivery cost to mainland UK (sign delivered in parts for [easy] assembly on site).  Due to the complexity of manufacturing these signs each order typically takes 3-4 weeks from order (unless advised to the contrary from our sales team).

General Comments about Our Timber Products

Our Timber
All our timber signs are manufactured from sustainable sources, classified as super prime they are the highest grade available containing the character of oak with very flaws.  Our timber is kiln dried and routinely checked for moisture content to ensure minimal risk of splitting and/or warping.  Please be aware oak posts may contain some splits (inherent with oak [rustic]) but this will not affect the overall strength/integrity

Sign Finish
Our oil sign finish comprises 4 coats of Osmo UV-Protection Oil Extra, applied over consecutive days to ensure good adhesion and lasting protection.  Based on natural oils it produces a satin-matt finish that enhances the natural tone and character of the wood, it does not crack, flake, peel or blister. It is water and dirt resistant, moisture regulating and reduces wood swelling and shrinkage.  Oiled signs will require annual mainteance to maintain the finish. 
An alternative to oil finish is natural timber (sign treated with a fungicide only) this is a common option for trail, footpath markers etc, where routine maintenance is not practical, the oak will naturally weather/grey over time.
 
Delivery & Assembly
All our sign posts are dispatched by courier.  Tracking details will be emailed on despatch.  Signs are delivered in parts for [easy] assembly on site (instructions will be included).

Beautiful signs

We ordered some beautiful oak signs for our care home- adding to our village/countryside feel. They are extremely high quality craftmanship and look superb.
